Course Details
Course Description:
Ghaith ul Quloob, the Blessed Rain of the Hearts, is an intermediate-level course where students get detailed knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of Tajweed. Tajweed rules are introduced for scientific reasons and cover 60% of the reading method of Hafs An Aasim.
Course Prerequisite:
1. Students must know all the Makhaarij (articulation points of letters) & Sifaat and be well-equipped to pronounce letters.
2. Students must know the rules of Tajweed (BASIC)- Nada ul Quloob OR Muqaddimatul Jazariyya (with or without Ijaza)
3. Students must be able to recite the Qur'an fluently, in a slow and progressive manner.
4. There will be an interview before the selection.
Learning Objectives:
A more detailed Tajweed course aiming to get students deeper in knowledge by understanding and learning the theoretical aspects of Tajweed thus preparing them for the more advanced level through:
Introducing them to understanding the science of Tajweed and some ahkam
Learning the makharijul Huroof with the opinions of other schools of teachings
Learning sifaat (characters of Arabic letters), which is complementary to makharij, in helping students pronounce the Arabic letters properly
It also includes practice through recitation and optional memorization.
This is in addition to a short reminder that trains students to ponder the Qur’an rather than just memorize it. This is not a Tafseer but rather a reflection upon Allah’s commands in the surahs recited and practical advice on how to implement them in daily life.
